My Favourite Make-up Brushes!

Hey guys!

So Recently I have gathered quite the collection of brushes, expensive and cheap but for everyday make-up these ones have definitely stuck out for me.

Foundation Brushes

13323900_10206416215424652_115566659_oMy ultimate favourite foundation brush is the Sephora foundation brush which is the black one in the pictures. It’d argue it’s probably the densest brush I’ve ever used and it is so soft! The foundation just buffs straight into the skin when I use this one. I remember this being around 20 euros which isn’t too bad for how much I’ve used it! The other one is the Real Techniques Buffing Brush I got this in the face set which my boyfriend got me which came with a flat foundation brush too but I think this one is a good dupe for the Sephora one for those in the UK who can’t get their hands on it. Its also very soft but just that much thinner than the Sephora one. Would still recommend it to anyone!

Lavish Brushes

So these brushes I got from TK Maxx in a set of four it also came with an amazing fluffy brush similar to the Mac 217 which I lost :(. But this set was probably about 10 pounds and I reckon you could probably find it online. These brushes are particularly good for different things. The bigger one is good for packing on a base colour which is always handy in everyday makeup. The other one is good for smoking out the lash-line.

Blending Brushes

So can we just appreciate the Mac 217 for a second, legit love it so much, it blends my crease colours like butter. The hype is real guys, it is worth the money trust me, you’ll never go back! This Real Techniques deluxe crease brush is also a dream to blend eye make-up. It is very chunky but for a two colour blend it would be amazing, not for more detailed stuff I would argue.

Right so that’s all my favourites! let me know what your favourites are in the comments!

My Candle Collection!

So I am a bit of a hoarder when it comes to candles, my idea of a cosy night in involves a room just filled with lit scented candles. I have created quite a collection over this last year and wanted to share my opinions on them all and what I think is the best candle that I have.

I’ll start with the cheapest ones and what I think of them!

So the Langley Home Sugar Cookie candle was bought from Clinton’s. Since it was out of season when my boyfriend got it (as a little gift) it was £5 which I thought was an amazing price for such a big candle. It has the same style as the big yankee ones and is highly scented. The sweet smell is so rich and really nice for if you want a nice home baking scent to fill the room. They have a very similar one in their out of season range, I think it’s called birthday cake but do not quote me on that one! The other two are my Star Lytes candles, these I think I bought in a pound shop, they are very cute, come with lids on too, I just don’t know where they’ve gone and come in many different scents. These two are in “fresh cherries” and “mulled wine”. The mulled wine one is a very nice scent and does fill the room but I think the fresh cherry one doesn’t so much. Still really good for the price of them and have lasted a long time!

Next on to my Yankee Candles!

I have actually spoke about the Vanilla Cupcake candle before in my January Favourites at the start of the year. It has the most amazing sweet scent and I would recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth. This one of mine is actually right at the bottom now so I will definitely need to get a big one next time. The Fresh Cut Roses scented candle was given to me by my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day this year. It is so beautiful, I love the baby pink colour of it and the scent is so fresh, it actually smells like you have roses in the room. I absolutely love these candles. The only flaw they have is when you first light them the wick does tend to burn really high, so I tend to keep these candles well away from things (as you should with any candle but especially these ones!).

Now for my favourite!

The Village Candle in Black Cherry, I think this has got to be my favourite by far. It has the most amazing scent to it and it actually fills the room. Every time I light more than one of all of the candles you can always smell this one the most. Also, they are a lot cheaper online than Yankee Candles! Arguably better too! It has two wicks even though it is a small candle which I think makes for a more even scent give off and the candle goes down evenly. Definitely would recommend.

So that is all of my candles! Is there any that you would recommend?

Cherry Bathe Well bath bomb: Bomb cosmetics review!

Hey guys, this is my first review of a bath bomb that wasn’t made by lush cosmetics, very brave of me!

So this is something my good friends from fizzbeautyreviews introduced me to and I fell for it just from the amazing cherry scent. I’ve always been a sucker for sweet scents and this bath bomb smells just like cherry bakewell tarts which are probably my favourite treats!

In terms of presentation, this is probably better than most bath bombs I’ve seen. It simply does look good enough to eat, with sprinkles all around the top as well. However, in the bath it didn’t do anything magnificent which is probably what a lot of people expect from a bath bomb. For me this wasn’t an issue, I love a nice plain relaxing bath and this is what this bath bomb gave me.

The smell fills the room when you place it in the bath and really does linger nicely. It is a fast fizzer which is a good thing if you just want to hop in the bath and still have that nice treat. Also, you can really feel the moisturising benefits this product has when you get in the bath and after!

So overall, I think this bath bomb is definitely worth a try and I definitely will be buying more from bomb cosmetics in the future.

January Favourites 2016!

Hey guys,

So I thought I’d do a quick post of some of my favourite different products last month and see how these differ throughout the year.

So, the first favourite is definitely the Vanilla Cupcake Yankee Candle, I’ve had it for a while now but only really appreciated it last month because of its really homely vanilla scent. Probably my favourite scent for winter especially but the candle itself is very strongly scented, the scent stays for hours even after the candle has been blown out!

My next favourite is the Loreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo, I can’t rate this stuff enough it is just amazing. I’ve always wanted to give it a go after seeing some youtubers using it but seriously, it actually works from the first wash. I’ve always suffered with thin feeling hair (especially after dying it so much) so to have a shampoo that makes your hair feel healthy and thicker is just amazing. The smell is also really good and smells like a lot of professional’s shampoos out there.

Finally, my absolute favourite make up product for January was the Rimmel London Radiance BB Cream SPF 20, an incredible beauty balm I discovered. I really needed one for Dubai as it would be hot there so to have just a BB cream that has SPF in it is really handy. It was really affordable at around 6 pounds from my local supermarket and it really does do the job. I have really troubled skin at the moment and to have that little bit of coverage is great for days where I don’t want heavy foundation. It also is as it says really radiant, I was glowing when wearing it and have put a bit on today just so that I look a tiny bit more awake. Would definitely recommend!

Those are my three January favourites, thank you so much for reading!

LUSH REVIEW #2: Five Favourite Products!

So since everyone enjoyed my previous lush post I thought I would do another one since I adore the brand so much. These are my top five favourite products at the moment, this probably will change but I would say this is a good range of products for anyone who is just starting out or hasn’t tried them before as they’re all very nice! I’ll order this from my least favourite to my most favourite to make it interesting.

5.93,000 Miles Shower Jelly 100g = £3.75:

93,000 miles

So my boyfriend being the lovely person he is, decided to buy me this as a surprise when he was visiting me and I had a bad back. If you’ve never came across a shower jelly before, you basically either break a bit off and use it like you would a soap or go for it and use the whole thing as a soap. Its main ingredients are Eucalyptus and Peppermint Infusion, Cinnamon Leaf Oil and Peppermint Oil. Eucalyptus is used to aid fevers, aching joints and for skin problems as this product suggests on the packaging, it is really good for those who work out to have in a after work out shower or even if you just have an achy back (like me). Also, the woody/spicy aroma of the cinnamon leaf oil works to fight fatigue and also is used to stimulate the skin and improve circulation. This little jelly does more than just wash, it actually does help when you’re feeling down. The only thing that puts this one at the bottom of my favourites is it has a very particular smell, the eucalyptus is often used in throat lozenges for its herbal benefits, which is why the smell reminds me of herbal tablets. Overall, I would say that this shower jelly does help with muscle pain, especially after a hard day and allows me to go to sleep not aching!

4. Rose Jam Bubbleroon Bubble Bar £3.75:IMG_0265

So this one I bought for the amazing Rose Jam scent that lush have put in a lot of their products, it is the most sweet and floral scent ever! I put it in my university room and seriously it has made the whole room smell perfumed, it’s so nice. So you use this sweet bubbleroon by breaking off a part and crumbling it under the running water of a bath to make amazing and sweet smelling baths! The main ingredient which greats the beautiful smell is Rose Absolute, this is used by aroma therapists to restore balance and lift mood so is good if you’re having a hard day. I’ve put it here because I absolutely love the smell and it is the best thing when I want a nice hot bath to help lighten my mood.

3. Wiccy Magic Muscles Massage Bar £6.50:

So this is another one that my boyfriend has to be given credit for! It is one of my all-time favourites now because it is so nice and eases so much tension in my back. So the best way to use a massage bar is warm it up a tiny bit and then just massage it into your skin, with this one, use the darker side as it works like deep heat and stimulates the circulation. The peppermint and cinnamon oils work to help the aches and pains also so this one is amazing for me. However, if you don’t like the smell of cinnamon I wouldn’t recommend as this one has a very strong scent. This is amazing though and I really need to get another one as I’ve used most of mine already!

2. Seanik Shampoo Bar £5.95:

This one is looking a bit sad in the picture because of how much I’ve used it but it’s because it is amazing for my hair. You use shampoo bars by creating a lather in your hands as you would a soap and then rubbing it into your hair, or by just scrubbing the bar on your head which is always fun! The Seanik shampoo bar is good for very flat and fine hair like mine as it creates natural waves as if contains nori seaweed, sea salt and mimosa absolute. My hair actually feels bouncy for once in my life and with this, I use less conditioner as it is very nice to the hair and makes it feel softer too. It has lasted a long time as well, I’ve has this one for about 5 weeks and wash my hair probably 5 times a week and it’s still got a normal shape to it and a lot more washes to go! A really good, fresh-scented shampoo bar.

1.Snow Fairy Shower Gel 250g £7.95:

Okay, this will always be my favourite product, a lot of people stock up on this when it comes to Christmas because it is such an amazing scent. It smells of candyfloss and honestly, makes me so happy when I use it. It’s just an uplifting smell and it stays on you for absolutely ages, the actual shower gel is very cleansing as well! I just can’t say any more about it really, it’s just the best.
