How I made Easter Nests!

So today I wanted to try out making Easter nests, they’re really simple and really yummy little treats! I have seen a lot of different recipes but decided to combine the one from BBC good foods and other recipes together to have the best outcome.

What I used

85g Shredded Wheat Cereal

200g plain chocolate

3 Tbsp Golden Syrup

2 packs of mini eggs

12 Cupcake cases to put the mixture in

All I did was melt the chocolate in a glass bowl (bain-marie) over a saucepan which is boiling water. After all the chocolate is melted and while it is still hot, I added the three tablespoons of golden syrup, this makes the mixture have a similar texture to toffee which will allow a nicer consistency when combining the shredded wheat.

Next, after melting the mixture, crush the shredded wheat in a separate bowl and then add it to the chocolate. After all of it is mixed then spoon a generous amount into the cupcake cases. Make sure all the mixture is combined in each of the cases and then after they look like nests put three mini eggs on each one, put it in the fridge for an hour or two and you’re done!
